firstly throw the main trip switch to OFF, if it has not automaticly done so. You want No power going through it

Then then get an electrian -- its not just a case of removing and replacing the fuse.

For the fuse to have melted, could mean other wires have melted behind your walls. just replacing the fuse could be a FIRE RISK. You may need to rewire the house.

Thats why you NEED an electrian - they would know for sure

Which fuse box.? The main house panel? A subpanel? A car fusepanel box? Other? An electrician is always a good call for a house repair especially. Electricity can be a very dangerous thing if not handled with care.

If it is the main fuse for the house, safety suggests using an electrician. Now the term "melted" is frequently used to describe a "blown" fuse as well....

"Sometimes for safety purposes resistors are used to control the amount of electrical energy that flows through the wires. These types of resistors are called fuses and circuit breakers. Both types contain metal strips or metal ribbons fused together. When the wire that is attached to the fuse or circuit breaker overheats, the metal strip or ribbon melts and opens the circuit which stops the flow of electricity. It is important to replace a melted fuse or circuit breaker because it is an important safety feature in your home. Modern cars also have fuses that are attached to electrical circuits that control power windows, air conditioners, lights, and radios."

The best way to remove the melted fuse is use nose plire , flat screw driver,

you can use a heat gun to melt it off and clear it up or a soldering iron.

don't forget to take the battery + cable off

Fuse melted in a fuse box means there are somewhere in your car wiring got short circuit

try to locate that and fix it or get an auto electrician to help you out

then buy a used fuse box from any wrecking yeard (if you don't want to spend much money in it)

otherwise buy a new one from the dealer.
