i own a 98 vr6 golf and my check engine connector does not communicate it reads error pin number 4 has ground pin number 16 has
power took it to auto zone and still reads error .need help any sugestions

Their scanner is not compatible with the VW OBDII implementation, it seems. Check the source for info on the three flavors of OBDII.

Seems Autozone is going to be your fix. Good Luck in all your endeavors. luv ser when the lite comes back on Bandit 6, what should we do? Back to Autozone? Disconnect the cable again? My advice would be to never take your car to an auto repair facility, as they can and will rip you off. Autozone is better, as well as Bandit 6 advice. luv ser Look at the money you are saving by going to Autozone, and listening to Bandit 6, grreat deal. At this point in time, how much money have you saved? luv ser I truley believe you need to take this to your VW dealarship, where you can truley find answers to your questions. unhook the battery for awhile then hook it back up. see if that clears the codes.
