I am having a problem programming the built-in remotes in my cars to all work simultaneously with my 2 garage doors. I have 4 cars (1 audi, 2 chevys, and a buick) and they all have a different method of programming their remotes. I actually have tried many different methods, but the problem remains: if one of the cars is programmed, the minute i program another for the same door, the first car doesnt work. if this even a fixable problem, please let me know... but it probably isnt. Anyway, thanks in advance

Make sure that when you program the additional remotes to the openers that you aren't clearing the memory on the machine. I have seen people do this many times. The idea is to press and release the programming button on the machine. If you hold it in you will erase the memory in the opener.

you need to find the owners manual for your garage door. Search for the model online and you can find it.

Typically if it's modern at all, and this includes the last 10years, you press the button on the base unit, and press the button in the car and they pair up like bluetooth.

Repeat with other cars.

It depends on the garage door base unit capability how many remotes it can pair with.

The old method where the remote all use the same frequency is not secure does not work with any recently made garage door.

As I understand it, the doors remain constant and you just program the car to the door. So unless you are clearing the original program from the door, it should not matter how many cars are broadcasting that signal.
