Can I replace my Renault Clio 05 wing myself?

Question

Shortly after I bought my long-saved-for first car (a Renault Clio 3 door) last summer, someone hit it while it was parked in a car park and cracked one of the plastic panels of the bodywork. It is the side segment on the driver's side, between the door and the bumber - I think that is called the wing?
I would like to repair it, but can't afford to take it to a garage (as it is just cosmetic damage.)
If I could track down a spare, would I be able to replace it myself? I have no mechanical knowledge, but don't mind getting my hands dirty!
How much would a spare cost, and how would I go about fitting it?
Any advice appreciated, thanks!

With no mechanical knowledge you'd be hard pushed to replace the wing yourself as it needs welding. Any good motofactors should be able to supply any parts you need try yell.com for your local area. If its just cosmetic damage you may be able to get it pulled a body repair shop should be able to advise you and this should be much cheaper than a replace. Pulling is something you could consider doing yourself but may not be worth it if you have to buy the tools etc.

There will be no welding (like the previous answerer suggested.

The Clio uses bolt-on plastic front wings.

If you can track down one in the right colour, fitting should be relatively easy. You may have to remove the bumper cover to access one of the bolts. The others should be visible along the trailing edge when the door is open, along the top edge when the bonnet is open, underneath, and around the wheelarches (remove the wheelarch liner).

Yes you probably could if it is bolted on there are many citreon breakers about so you might even get a color match. but if it is spot welded on then you are in deep doo-doo for an amatuer, you will a cutter and a grinder to strip the old one away then grind the spot welds down flat, a lot of bother have you tried getting a quote off of a firm like dentmasters? if it is a small dent they might just be able to pull it out for you and touch up the paint, lightly cheaper than a crash repair place, google them in your area or look in the telephone directory

very easy to do. bolt off, bolt on. make sure you have it lined up correctly before closing bonnet!!!!
