87 Jeep Cherokee. Before any changes front passenger blinker did not work. Replaced bulb. Now dash shows the right turn signal light constant (even when not turned on) but both front and back right side flashers do not work. Bulb doesn't even light. Driver side turn signal was working. Removed bulb that worked and put same bulb back in. Now bulb does not work. Rear driver side flasher works but front bulb doesn't do anything. Left turn signal indicator light on dash does flash correctly though. Any ideas?

You write a confused story.

Do these bulbs have a single contact on their bases, or 2?

I'd suggest that if they have 2, they must have a second function, like tail lights or clearance lights. Did you manage to put the bulbs back in reversed?

I have never had contact with a Jeep anything.

problem is in the circuit to the left rear turn signal. Most likely the bulb. but could be in the turn signal switch (not likely) wiring to the rear bulb, bad socket for the bulb, or a bad ground from the bulb

maybe the bulb you replaced it with was a dual filament bulb and was supposed to be a single filament bulb. ive seen this make some wierd things happen with the turn signals and hazard lights.
