A tubleless tire is a tire that is directly mounted to a rim without any inner tube. Tires with inner tubes have a tire, then a rubber inner tube filled with air mounted to a rim. Rims for tubeless tires have seats which the tire beats sit on, when a tubeless tire is mounted it is brought to about 5PSI and then the a process called "seating the bead" sets the tire properly on the rim where it can be fully inflated.

As far as i do know all tyres at the moment are radial tyres. Radial tyres can be tubeless or have an innertube, however tyre technology has evolved to a point that you don't want an innertube any more.

Back in the old days tires contained inner tubes inside to contain the air pressure inside them. Newer tire designs are air tight and the bead of the tire form a seal directly to the wheel so tubes were done away with.
