The tip of the greasegun turns to adjust to the nipple if you turn it with a pair of pliers or vise grips so it turns away from the grease gun it will loosen on the nipple and come off.

Just pull it out and if it still doesnt, rotate it counter clock and the nipple will come out.The with pliers you can remove the nipple from the grease gun and screw back the nipple with hands.

uk answer for a uk question ! different than for the heavier autos ( 7.5 tonne & above ) all of the fashionable suspension joints / wheel bearings are the 'sealed for existence' style. the days are long long previous whilst each provider in contact going around all of the greasing factors & pumping grit into the joints. The noise may be the front disc brake backing plate rubbing on the disc. what share vehicles / trucks have you ever seen recently with the small dirt covers on the top of the stub axles? warm grease could leak down onto the brake pads

Tie wrap it and leave it there. And every once in a while reach under and give it a squeeeeeeeeeze - the grease gun (not the nipple).

Just kidding.....

a sideways yank should remove it, sometimes the mechanism in tip of g7n gets stuck, I'll push tip like im putting tip back on then yank off, almost like snapping a twig but not as sharp an angle that I break off grease fitting

The grease coupler is adjustable by turning it either way to tighten or loosen it. The proper way to place the coupler on is to come at it sideways and then slip it on and to take it off, simply tilt the coupler to the side and pull.

tilt then turn.
