No sound when turn key to start...lose battery connection or bad ground

Click and nothing...loose connection

Turn key and slow turn moaning , low battery

Remove baterry clamps. clean posts and clamps and reinstall, try to start.

Turn key..click click click...solenoid

Also check battery negative to frame ground

disconnect battery , remove and clean ground, reinstall , hook up battery and try again

If still no go now start to look at ignition switch and other components

If it turns over and won't start you have other issues, which sometimes are best dealt with at a repair shop that has all the diagnostic tools to quicly find the problem and repair it.

Good luck

As with my Nissan Xterra, I too had a similar subject concerns. despite the fact that, i became waiting to purpose the Alt and battery besides as pull the codes and found that when stressing the battery in that way, I went from a 550 cca battery that dropped to 4 hundred cca (chilly cranking amps). while the motor vehicle, greater so with the greater contemporary fashions, if the gadget drops voltage or amps, the information on the information strains do not all techniques get to the ECM as a intense or low and flags errors and could not start up or run horribly....did you pull the codes? disconnect the battery for an excellent volume of time beginning with the beneficial positioned up first then destructive. despite if this is a gas injected motor, there must be a schrader valve on the gas rail/s, turn key to on and push in on the interior portion of the valve. If no gas comes out with good tension...look to gas gadget.

"Won't start" is pretty vague. It could be hundreds of posibilities.

Dead battery, Low battery, bad ground wire to engine, bad power wire to starter, bad power wire to battery, bad connection at battery post or terminals, blown fuse, bad key switch, bad starter, bad fuel pump, bad injectors, out of gas, neutral safety switch, seized engine, broken connecting rod, no compression, no spark, bad oil pressure switch, broken timing belt, plugged fuel filter, bad starter solenoid, broken rotor, cracked distributor cap, Anti-theft device, water in/on engine, vacuum leak, bad ignition coil, blown computer, faulty cam or crank sensor ...

When you turn the key to START it what happens?

1) Nothing happens? (dead battery?, loose battery cables, or it's not in "park" all the way.)

2) You hear a "click", but nothing else? (loose battery cables, bad starter, bad starter solenoid, or broken engine)

3) You hear the starter turning, but the engine doesn't turn? (low battery voltage, bad starter or bad ring gear on flywheel/flex plate)

4) The starter turns the engine, but the engine won't start up? (out of gas, bad fuel pump, plugged fuel filter, broken timing belt, no spark)

5) The engine turns over, but very slowly. (weak battery, worn starter, out of engine oil)

6) the engine turns, but there's an awful banging noise? (something is broken inside the engine)

What happened last time you drove it?

1) Drove home fine last night, just won't start today?

2) Was driving fine, and it just died on you?

3) You haven't driven it in a while. It's been parked in storage?

ADDED:

Push the clutch pedal ALL the way down.

Need just a little more. Does the engine turn over at all?
