Before you say it, I am a qualified mechanic but am not at all familiar with this DaeWoo my friend just bought. I want to replace his timing belt for him but am wandering about how to go about it with the lack of room available around this engine. anyone have any instructions?

If you do this job you must not mess up the alignment marks on the cams or you will bend the valves. Also, the water pump is used to tighten the t-belt. What a joke that is. You must replace the water pump and o-ring because once you disturb the water pump it will leak if re-used. I would also recommend replacing all the idlers. Do the cam and crank seal while there also. There is plenty of room, I have done plenty but I am also very glad they went bankrupt. If the belt on your friends car is already broken then the engine is trash. Good luck and follow the other directions that are already listed.
