I was told that I could just add some stop leak to my engine oil to help seal up and leaking gaskets or other problems? I bought stop leak specially designed for it however I don't know if i can just dump it in with the other oil? Isn't to much oil bad for your engine?

That stuff isn't good for your engine, nor does it fix the problem perminently.

I would stay away from oil additives with the exception of maybe Lucas brand, but still its better to stay away from it. Oil additives can definately cause temporary swelling of rubber gaskets, however they can and do often cause internal engine problems by gunking up things and clogging tiny areas where oil needs to be free flowing. I would suggest changing the oil with a slightly heavier weight oil, new filter and just make sure you keep it topped off and it will last forever, even with the leak. I know leaks are annoying but even worse would be a locked up engine.

your suppose to put it in when your oil is low some but that stuff is just wasting your money.
