VL Commo, crack/leak in radiator and no transmition cooler....need advice?

hey there, i need sum advice with my vl any much appreciated.
Firstly i have a crack/leak in my radiator an d cant afford to fix it right now, someone told me you could buy some sort of fluid to put in ur radiator which would seal the cracks, has anyone heard of this and if so what is it called and how long would it last?
Also i have been driving without my transmission cooler for almost a year now. after damaging it, someone just hooked up the two hoses without the transmission cooler for me if this makes sense, so im wondering if not having the transmission cooler for so long has caused or at least contributed to the cracks in the radiator, alot of people have told me that you dont even really need a transmission cooler (which is why i haven't replaced it yet) but im still thinkin why would it be there if it wasnt really needed!

The stuff is called "Barz Leak", pretty good for a pinhole, dont know about a crack.



Yes, you need that transmission cooler.There should be a place on your radiator to hook the lines to.

radiators crack and mine did because it was a cheap rad (i didnt know it was but hey)

Trans cooler i wouldnt have had off for a long time. It helps the transmission last longer and also prevents the fluid getting overly hot and burnt. take a look at the transmission fluid on the dipstick and see if it smells burnt or looks brownish.

stop leak you can find at super cheap and prob any other auto store.

Temporary use only so don't be surprised if it only lasts a short time.

Trans cooler wouldnt have affected the radiator crack unless it got damaged when the trans cooler did.

all the stuff you can put in to stop a leak is only temporary and would only last a few days at best if you cant afford the repairs then you really cant afford to have a car and by driving without a transmission cooler for so long don't be surprised your transmission is burnt out think about it you don't need a cooler why would they make a car and fit it for your friends dont know much about cars by the sounds of it
