I have a leak in the FRONT CRANK SEAL on my car. I need to know what type of stop leak would work best for sealing that leak. What is the BEST stop leak for this application

I would also change the PCV valve, your engine could be forcing oil out of path of least resistance, and it is fairly inexpensive and easy to replace.

front crank seal is a moving part and no stop leak is going to fix that if it was static like a valve cover maybe stop leak would work but the crank seal is a moving part and the crusty film made by stop leak won't work because the part will move. sorry but a repair is the only sure everything else is an exercise is spending that will eventually lead you to repair

You could pull the cable in question loose, clean it with a solvent(things rarely stick to oil), and use RTV to seal it. Its cheap at least, and seems to do the trick for most gaskets and such. You may repair the gasket surface, or simply goop it in the housing if it doesn't need to turn freely at that point. RTV is Room Temperature Vulcanizing compound and ordinary black is fine. Takes a day or so to harden and another day to cure, so try to not start it for two days so it can make a good seal. Anyway, before you replace the cable again, you need to find where and when it is getting damaged.

The best stop seal is a new seal.

Otherwise, look at the LUCAS range of additives and sealants which, unlike most on the market, do actually work.

nothing in a bottle will stop it, replace the seal.
