I hit a speed bump to hard and put some nice cracks in my oil pan. Is this hard to place? I have done some small engine work before, but not much on autos. The shop wants to charge me $465 for install, oil, oil filter, and gasket (I am going to supply the pan $120 from a salvage yard). What do you all think?

A pan from a salvage yard is around 25 dollars, new around 125 from a dealership. The labor is around 4 hours at most. You be better off to do it yourself , its not a hard job to do, just get the manual. The 465. labor sounds like your getting a ride. Good Luck and God Bless
