You can buy straps that you attach to the chassis of your car, usually near the back, that are supposed to let all the charge dissipate into the air or the ground. The chassis should be connected to the doors and panels, etc. [via bolt connections and the like] so this solution should work in theory.

If you allready have one of these, then I don't know what's wrong with your car, but I hope this helps.

Perhaps you can add a small metal spike with a sharp point [yes, it has to be sharp, not rounded] to the chassis. According to the physics I have learnt, this should also dissipate the excess charge.

When you open the door hold on to the metal edge of it while you are getting out. Once you are out you can close the door and it won't shock you as long as you never let go. You build the static from the cloth seats and when you go to get out the static charge jumps to the car to ground out. If you never take your hand off the door when getting out you won't create the arc between and you should be ok.

The problem is your clothing rubbing on the upholstery. You might try some anti-static spray of you don't want to wear cotton slacks. Another trick is to grab the door metal before you start sliding across the seat.

Hi,for the static shock you can try to add few more grounding cable in your eng compartment, for those point like battery, alternator, starter motor, engine blocks and even the trans axle.it will help to reduce the static accumulation.although it may not be 100% it helps..
