What the heck is wrong with the car?

Me and my daughter were driving from Pennsylvania to NYC. We started driving along, and we hit a road hazard and it struck hard under the car. and we noticed that the car dinged and a little light with a picture of a yellow sun with an exclamation point came on. The car then started making strange grinding noises as it drove and it eventually became such that it had to be floored to keep going 30 mph. We had already gotten off the interstate so it didn't matter. A little while later a light with waves and a red thermometer came on. THe car then eventually lost all power and started spouting off steam. We then let it cool and kept moving on, then after a few more overheats the yellow engine light came on, and the car was experiencing some electrical hickups, and the red battery light and the light with an upside down bulb and exclamation came on. We kept driving on, and the indicator with a little red magic lamp came on and then the engine started making all sorts of squeeking and rubbing sounds, and then there was a loud BANG and the car just gave out and spouted out smoke. We had to call a tow truck, as I don't know how to do underhood repairs, as the mechanics do that, and my daughter even knows its a bad idea to ever open the hood. The car is now stranded, with no blinkers and no horn, andmy daughter is twirling a baton from marching band when she was in high school on the street corner so that we don't get creamed by someone whipping around the corner. NYC traffic is mess

$100 for a tow is not expensive.

Assuming you aren't a troll, your car is toast. Just leave it where it is and let it sit in an impound lot forever or donate it to Kars4Kids.

Get the train home or get bus tickets.

NYC is not ready for people like you.

They wont even take the time to chew you up.

or spit you out.

You should call your insurance agent and write a police report response before leaving. Try to save the embellished tales for some younger, and inexperienced readers.

When you take delivery of an auto your dealer takes you through

delivery inspection, answers your questions, and provides you with an owners guide.

You are not teaching the daughter properly.

When you apply for a driver's permit for her, they will give her a driver's handbook at the licensing office.

She will have to take driving school.

She will learn all about your responsibilities and can educate you.

The car sounds like a total loss.

The insurance company can send you a check for that.

But I suppose you are going to update with, "I did not know I had to have that".

The tickets will likely come in the mail unless the police give you a date to appear.

You could have to stay there instead of travelling first.

An attorney should help.

You can find one for that state in the yellow pages online.

Have the insurance agent meet you at the impound.

Get your damage figured out and paperwork completed.

In a number of days, the fees could exceed the value

if you just try to leave it there.

A car dealer for that make can help a visiting owner,

call ahead, ask if you can tow it to their lot instead of an impound lot,

Get an estimate that exceeds the value of the vehicle.

Or wait for the adjuster to see the same as you tell us.

It could suk pretty hard when they tell you you deliberately kept driving

and caused the damage deliberately.

You did not seek to remedy the wreck, or the overheating.

left the scene of the accident.

You cannot blame the medication unless it was forced on you, or you have a prescription. Then, driving would be restricted under the influence.

Better just go with the attorney first.

Call Eflee Bailey and Jonny Cockrun.

Tell them you think the Wookie defense could help

I hope you get judge marylyn, she reeeeally likes attorneys.

Wait a minute...can you use ANY attorney?

I tink my cussin Vinny lives daire !

It sounds like you damaged the car and was leaking oil, Then you ignored all the warning signals until you blew up the engine.
