Any ideas at all? I live in southern california and it's been getting 100+ degress somedays and 90+ every single day for weeks now and don't have air conditioning. How are some ways to cool down my car?

I was thinking getting one or two little fans, placing them somewhere, and hotwiring them to the fusebox. I'm an extreme novice with cars and electronics though, would that work?

Novice or not you could learn to work on your own car. It just takes a little study and research. what ever car you have you can find heaps of info in a service manual that you can get at any auto parts store(They go by year, make and model). Tools are another thing that will serve you all your life. they help you reduce the overall cost of owning your own car. plus a little knowledge can save you thousands later. If you are interested in either fixing your air conditioning system or putting one on your car if it does not have one, every one on this site tries to give you the best help they can. Googling can really help too if you know what to ask for. If you have ever looked at used parts for your car you can check out car-part.com for prices and what parts are on your car. Hooking up electric fans can be kind of fun. all you have is a "+"=12 volts(power(just like the +on your battery)) and a "-"=ground(any metal connection to the body) for wires. The fuse box may or may not have enough power to run these fans so your wiring can get hot and start on fire. just make sure that what ever power that you use to keep a fuse in the + line. When the fuse burns out it is a safety. the wires don't burn if the fuse does.

it has not been that hot this year. the last two cars that i had for quite a while had no ac to begin with. drink plenty of water and roll the window down enough so that you feel the air. the fans could work on the same idea though.

dry ice is real cold.. get some of that and crush it up and put it under your hood

the cold will come out of the air ducts if you turn it on, i guess it works the same way the heater does when the car is overheating

Hi

Disconnect the heater core. Reroute the heater hose. The heater core is 195F under the dash.

auto parts store will have a fan that mounts to the dashboard or windscreen.. you just plug it into the cigarette lighter socket... instant breeze in the cab..
