I am new to driving and have next to no knowledge on car mechanics. The clutch pedal hit the floor whilst out driving the other day and took it to my local Mr Clutch... (first potential mistake after reading a few reviews) They said the forks had bent or broken in the clutch and would be best to just replace it than try and repair it. They also said i would need a new release bearing and nosecone...( no idea what this is) and a flywheel skim which i have been thinking about getting done anyway as the clutch was occasionally slipping before it killed itself. The cost of all this comes to £430 which to me is alot of money but I just wanted to know if its reasonable or a rip-off. Theres not much i can do about it now but i just wanted to know so i can learn from this mistake in the future. Thanks in advance!

Looks about the right price but consider is the car worth enough to warrant repairing
