Are rubber car mats any good? I'm also looking on buying dog guards and boot mat liners.

I think so. Rubber mats don't look as nice as carpet mats but they're much more durable and if you live in a snowy climate, they keep the melted water on top of the mat as opposed to allowing it to soak into the carpet.

As a fellow dog owner I can tell you that rubber mats and seat covers are a must.
Weathertech makes some quality mats that are matched specifically to your car. Expensive though.

If your intent is to protect the interior of your vehicle, then rubber mats will serve well. You can even buy rubber mats which are made specifically for your vehicle, depending on their availability of your make/model. Rubber mats are easier to clean and typically tolerate wear better than carpeted mats. You will often see entire floorboards of fleet vehicles covered by rubber instead of carpet due to these reasons.

Hi so from the articules mentioned with a dog yes they are a good idea as that will save the carpets also besides a dog guard a set of seat covers would be a good idea now they do plastic seat covers for most cars some 4x4 have special mud seat covers for farmers who have dogs climbing all over the seats.

Absolutely! Rubber mats are more durable and they retain road salt from eating the floor boards.

I have used cannon car mats in a few vehicles i have owned.
They are well made durable and are available for boots as well.

Certainly are. Put them on top of your carpets and they will protect them very well. Also easy to clean and replace.
