I am curious as to what "Left Mount" means in terms of an alternator. Is it on the left side of the engine if you were standing in front of the car staring at the engine or would it be the left side when your inside the vehicle driving.
I am currently looking for an alternator and mine is on the right hand side while outside of my truck staring at the engine. And some of the recomended items im finding are saying that they are left mount. So im very lost.
I have a 1993 gmc sierra that has a chevy 350 small block if that helps any

Left and right for auto parts is ALWAYS judged from the driver's seat. So if you're in the driver's seat, yours is actually a left hand mounting.

When referring to parts under the hood, right and left is always determined sitting in the the drivers seat.

Hi,

Drivers side is left mount, passenger is right mount, then you would have center mount, then low left, low right.
