Can you put Hubcaps/wheel covers on alloy wheels?

The car I am thinking of is a 2012 Honda CR-V LX 2WD. I would like to improve the look of the ugly alloy wheels that came standard with the LX model. The wheel size is sixteen inch.

This link shows the 2014 model, but they look the same.

Generally speaking, wheel covers won't attach to alloy wheels. If you really don't like them, perhaps you can work out a trade with someone who does. Alloy wheels are an expensive option, and many people would rather have alloy wheels than steel wheels with cheap plastic wheel covers. I'm one of them.

Actually on some models you can put them over styled wheels in both Alloy Wheels and Steel Wheels but you need to know what you are looking for. They are called Chrome Wheel Skins and ChromeWheelSkins.Com sells them

unlikely you will find wheel covers that will fit over alloy wheels. Wheel covers rely on snapping onto the rim and alloy wheels don't have the room on them to do this.

Check out aftermarket wheels for replacement. There are many web sites that you can try wheels on your make and see what they look like before purchasing.

Sorry, don't remember the site I used years ago for my 68 Pontiac.
