glow plug light issue?

Question

Hi i own a Mondeo TDCI 130 lx on a 04 plate and i have a issue which is as follows
just now while i was on my way home the Glow plug light on the instrument panel was flashing on and off for no reason so i stopped the car i waited a minute or so i started the engine again and all was fine i dropped my missus off then i just took it for a quick run on the motorway 12 miles in total and their was no problem my question is what does a flashing glow plug light indicate and do i have cause for concern?

This can be due to an injector fault and can be intermittent so if it continues get it checked out.

we don't have any like that here but i do know diesels

my international tow truck did that for a while

it turned out to be a incomplete ground circuit

in the glow plug relay

you drive hit a bump and notice the glow plug lite on?

you do have fault but the only way to find out is by have a diagnostic check, its probably some thing on the engine but there are that many sensors its almost impossible to say unless it does something strange that you notice when light is on ie loss of power ,engine misfire ,etc which can narrow it down

comparable factor kinda happened to me yet i left my pc charging ON for 3 days rapidly unused so i think of i burnt my charger because of the fact a green mild develop into flashing and then it develop into making a bleeep bleep noise so something comparable could purely choose a clean charger or battery equipment
