I have a 1994 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport and it won't start.?

Question

When the key is placed in the ignition switch, it simply turns all the way down, with no resistance or clicking. All lights come on but nothing else is happening.

YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH YOUR IGNITION SWITCH IT IS LOCATED TOWARDS THE BOTTOM OF YOUR COLUMN YOU NEED TO DROP[ THE STEERING COLUMN TO SEE AND REPLACE IT IT ISNT THE KEY SWITCH ALSO MAKE SURE IT IS IN PARK

Possibly the ignition switch is broken, or the interconnect between the shift lever and the ignition switch is out of adjustment. The latter impresses me as more likely.

Those ignition switches used a gear system to turn the switch internally, and are a pattern failure. Get a lock and cylinder assembly from a discount auto parts supplier-they usually have them in stack.

This is a LONG-running scam. **ADD -- To "Left" -- The scammers name eBay as the escrow to "sound" legit. But eBay NEVER gets involved as an escrow service on these types of sales. And once the buyer wires funds (that are not "held" as the scam perpetrates), the money is GONE.

It sounds like the switch is bad, but you need to check and see if power is going to the starter. If it is then the starter is bad.
