when i come to a stop, my car reads that i have low oil pressure and the check oil level keeps coming on. i just put oil in there and it is at max so it shouldn't be having any problems. it goes away when i start moving. could it be that i need a oil change and a new filter? it has also been sitting up for 9 months.

could be a bad sender unit or bad wiring.

Either your oil sending units are plugged up from sitting, or your oil pump is shot, or your bearings are worn. At idle, your pump wont turn so fast and wont give best pressure on a worn motor...or gunked motor. Try changing the sending units first. cheapest, easiest way to start.

you could have a bad oil pressure switch, something blocking the oil pressure, or a failing oil pump.
