hi i have an 89 camaro 305 tpi 5 speed i just replaced the iac do to high idle but the idle still wont drop?

down and i did the reset unless im doing it wrong but i know im not but when hit the tps down the idle drop down so is the tps off and if hoe to set it to correct.thanks

You're TPS is probably bad.

Your idle velocity is controlled with the aid of the digital module. you're asserting that the idle velocity hunts between 1500 and 2500. V8 idle velocity for autos with instruction manual tranny must be around 800. Are you getting any examine Engine gentle indication? simply by fact it must be led to with the aid of a malfunction with the digital module, i might have a diagnostic finished on it.

haha, that is hard, but I think I know what your saying, on my saab I had the same issue, but on a saab its called a AIC, which is still an IAC, on the iac, you would have trouble starting it, and you will notice that the car my want to stall on deceleration, and on idle it will idle low rpms then high rpms, your may have something else that is wrong, could be a vaccum problem, or a sensor problem, or your idle my be set to high which there is a screw or bolt, or on the throttle.
