I havent driven my 96 Geo Prizm in a while, so i dont have any keys to it (well i do have one, but my parents have that one, and there would be no way to get it). So, is there a way I can get another master key made? can I go to Auto Zone or something, or is this impossible?? And if it is possible, how much would it cost?

You can't get it from AutoZone or any other auto parts store. You need to go to the dealer with the VIN number that's on the dash board by the windshield. They can have another one made for you with this number. I'm not sure about the cost but you could call the dealership before going. Good luck!

My first question is why can't you get the key from your parents, or send them a few bucks to have a duplicate made and sent to you if distance is a problem? It's much simpler to make a duplicate from an existing key. Walmart can do that for a buck or two. The other option is to copy the VIN number You can see it on the top edge of your dash while looking through the windshield and going to your local dealer. (Chevy sold the Geo, so they should have access to the info.) The dealer should be able to look up the key code from the VIN and make a duplicate. This will cost a lot more than the Walmart key.

Okay, number one: If you are not the registered owner of the vehicle or you are underage, you won't be getting a key made anywhere. Number two: Geo is no longer made. Chevy sold the vehicle, but do not have key codes older than ten years on these cars. Number three: The Prizm is a rebadged Toyota, so uses Toyota codes. Toyota may be able to get the code, but its a longshot. Number four: Any competent locksmith can make the key, but number one applies. Get the key from your parents.

Well you could take the vehicle vin # to a dealer and get one that way or call a lock smith and they can take apart the colum but very costly or you can wait for your parents to trust you enough to give you the keys back .Sounds to me that is the way to go and to keep you from getting into troble .Good luck
