It shorted out again and once again it only works on high. Could this still be the blower motor resistor or is it something else?

Check your wiring

how long before it stop working,,if about 15 minutes or more

then you're motor is shorting out when hot,,replace the motor

try this test ,,turn your fan with your finger if you can,,if it is tight your motor is getting stuck causing a heavy load to the resistor,in turn causing it to burn out,,high do not pass the small resistor

something else!! when you have your ac on high, it send continuous power to the ac compressor clutch. This means the clutch will not kick on and off. So i have to check, but i believe it could be a low pressure sensor or a the connection coming out of the clutch ( follow the wires to a connection ) ( brown color )

disconnect the battery . at the plug for resistor check for a short to ground and short between wires. With a ohm meter .note one wire is a ground
