The first one does not list mileage but I would assume it has as many, if not more miles than the other two.

The last one (Lexus) has less miles but looks a little beat down.

The middle one, the black Acura looks like it was well taken care of and would be my choice. It has more miles than the Lexus but when you get over 130,000 a difference in a few thousand doesn't really matter.

Personally I wouldn't suggest any of them. If you are looking for a car around that price it means that you most likely can't afford to spend a lot on the purchase let alone repairs. These are all older, high mileage luxury cars so repairs can get pretty pricey. If finances are an issue you might want to go with a new model import such as Toyota or Honda, late 90's early 2000's. Repairs might cost less and it should have fewer miles which most likely equate to fewer repairs.

Practicality over bling!

I used to own an Acura and a Lexus. These 2 cars are the luxury brand models of Honda and Toyota, respectively.

Car #1 - looks beat, repainted, with modified engine components which may be an issue with smog inspections. It has wheels that does match the car and I'm sure they hit the inside of the fender while going down the road...I know this for a fact because I had an experience with oversized tires with my Legend unless of course they removed the inner fender liner and/or "rolled" the fender to create more clearance. There aren't enough pictures to show it off sufficiently, or maybe that is the point.....and the seller makes a mistake by not disclosing mileage.

Car 2 - the black 93 Acura It is an "L" model based on installed interior components. The engine is Gen 2 model which is the same as late 93 Legends (Gen 3 = VTEC) but without the V-TEC which makes it simpler and less prone to problems. It has 17 inch wheels, probably with 215-45-17 tires which is the largest size tire you can fit in the wheelwell without fender contact. The leather looks intact...I expected more scuffing due to the year. It looks like the car has been taken care of, and the seller is not shy of the condition of the car based on the number of pics.

Car 3 - the 92 ES300. The Lexus is a solid ride and lasts long, IF not modified. The paint scheme leaves a lot to be desired and different colors mean different paint jobs at different times; Future upkeep of non matching paint and quality of the paint job(s) is questionable....was it prepped correctly, who painted the car and why does it have 2 colors? Again not enough pics...not even one interior shot.....alarm bells ringing here.

Based on a few pics and no background information of any of the 3 vehicles, I would pick the black 93 Legend. Why, because it looks like someone cared about the car and it shows. However, any used car should be properly inspected by someone who is reasonably qualified and a Carfax report is an investment into NOT getting yourself stuck with a worn piece of salvaged junk.

Good Luck!, and insist on a test drive......

Honestly, none of them look too good. Car #1 will probably get you laughed at with those goofy "bling" rims. Car #3 has probably been abused all of it's 138K miles judging by the fact that the previous owner made a laughable attempt to modify it...so I'm guessing it was driven hard somewhat often. Car #2 is probably your best be even though it has the most miles. Just make sure the service history is up to date. Usually stock, unmodified cars are fairly un-molested. Just make sure to check everything out before you jump into anything. Also, go to kbb.com and look up the Private Party value for these cars. DON'T PAY ANY MORE THAN THAT. If they won't budge, walk away. There are other cars out there...and SEVERAL cars better than an Acura Legend.

The lexus is your best bet. They have Toyota built engines which can last a million miles. That isn't to say the Acura's aren't good, but Toyota has some of the best mechanical and accessory reliability on record. Also, I'd stay away from craigslist. There is no recourse.

+++ What is wrong with the local car dealers.? An enthusiast is just a raving car fan who is too excited about his opinion about cars.Experience types of car people only have an experience with certain brands of cars that they either enjoy or have had nothing but problems with them. Why do you think that JD powers is the top contributing agency when it comes to cars.?The only problem with JD powers is that they strongly detest any/all american cars being built because they are too geared to the european and asian makers. The only thing they do know about is the BUICK cars that have very high marks and they do recommend them.BUICK is the new symbol of quality in the USA and they have had very good returns on all of the 2007/2008 vehicles, quality, stylefit and comfort and ride.So why not buy a buick car or suv?

the acura legend is a pretty reliable car on theo ther hand so is the lexus es 300. well id go for the lexus es300 because it has the lowest mileage, as you can see the 1st link the person who listed the car doesnt even list the mileage, so scratch that one

definately avoid the lexus, honda ok but maintenance expensive. after 25 years in the game i have found the most trouble free cars to be toyota. lexus has more problems than you can imagine. but no doubt someone will have one and swear by them.they just got lucky.repairers could retire wealthy if we all drove that model lexus/holden.the lexus is just another name for vn/vp holden.hondas are more prone to repairs than toyota.thats why in the states and australia they out sell all makes

They all seem to be in about the same ballpark, make sure you get a good look at them and a test drive if all possible, and ask a lot of question and be nosey
