How can i teardown my 5speed Manual Gearbox?

Hi,
I have 1997 4cyl Ford probe with 5speed Manual Gerabox on it.
What are the correct / perfect steps to follow in order to teardown the gearbox, i'm running on a limited budget i' planning to do it myself in order to take it to a specialist for repair,
Would be too much appreciated if anybody can provide detailed list for what remove first, second...

I have no idea, but if I had 1 1997 Probe, I would own a maintenance manual for it, like I do for the rest of my cars. You may not even have the equipment to do it. You local library may have one on the shelf.

Well if you are taking the transmission to a specialist, then have him tear it down. He will know more about it than you. Transmissions are very complex pieces of machinery, and if you don't have the slightest clue what you are doing, you shouldn't even be thinking about it in the first place.

i highly recomend letting a skilled mechanic that is certified in tansmission overhauls to do this if you try doin yourself without the proper equipment your risk ruining your transmission there are many small parts in a transmission that can become easily lost...once again i highly recommend taking to a transmission repair shop but if your set on doing it yourself ill try and find an overhaul manuel online for you will edit my post when i find one.
