I have a Craftsman 3 1/2 ton floor jack that is not holding pressure. Would this be covered by the Craftsman warranty and could I get a new 1?

As stated most likely a 1 year warranty. It is not a hand tool or a ratchet and does not have the life time warranty. There are places that rebuild hydraulics check into them.

hydralic jacks are a tried and tested well provdn design. It is a one year manufacturers warranty against defects in workmanship not for wear and tear. As long as you do not go over its rated capacity it will last for years. Another common mistake is people use cheap jacks to hold up the car. Bad plan if you are smart you will buy some jack stands and use a pair of them with the jack. This way your life does not depend on a 10 cent rubber seal in a jack. There are heavy duty jacks that are made for heavy duty applications and they are expensive for a reason they are made from some top quality parts that are going to stand up to almost any abuse you can think of.
