My Ford Focus is making a random clicking noise on the left side towards the bottom. It clicks constantly when the car is running, but the faster the car gets the faster the clicking is. It started when I had to slam on my brakes yesterday. It's not overheating and the check engine light is not on. What could it be?

Sounds like it's an exhaust leak at or near the exhaust manifold. Don't know why slamming the brakes would cause that though.

Sounds to me that a rod has broken and is pecking inside the engine...but of course you should know....never buy a ford....shoot it and go and get another car....Honda..it last longer, and so does a KIA and a Chevy fords need to be shot!!

PULL THE WHEEL AND CHECK THE BRAKE ON THAT SIDE AND MAKE SURE THAT ALL IS FINE, IF NOT.

TRY FINDING AN INDEPENDENT AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR SHOP INSTEAD OF THE DEALER OR ANY CHAIN STORE BECAUSE YOU WILL BE OVERALL MORE PLEASED WITH THE PERSONAL SERVICE THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE.
