I have a 1992 Toyota Pickup truck. I use the brake lever all the time when i park. Recently when I leave my parking spot I will push the lever back in and then after a few seconds it will pop out an inch or two and the brake light will come on. Basically there is a springiness to it and it won't leave it in its off position. Do you know if I need to tighten something or what I should do to fix this? Thanks!

My GUESS is that one or both of your cables to the rear wheels is sticking, and when you push the lever in, its not releasing the brake shoes, but just causing a flex, or curve, in the cable. After a while, it "unflexes" and pushes the lever back out. If this is the case, you will wear out those brakes very quickly! Check those cables, or have a pro do it.

i think of you would be unwise to apply any enjoyed ones stuff (and that i can not think of of any ingredient which may well be stable in a motorcycling ecosystem). in case you're basically lubricating the lever pivot factors i could propose a time-honored objective mild grease and don't placed too plenty on the shifting surfaces. are not getting it everywhere on the factor of brake shoes or disc pads... this is not any longer an help to braking. i've got not bought any for years so have not got any thought of costs yet get the smallest tin achievable on the grounds which you're no longer likely to apply plenty on a well-known bike so i do no longer think of you will ought to spend plenty money. in case you go right into a bike provider save you have got the skill to get good advice besides because of fact the wonderful product to your desires. good success! historical Brit

Sounds like your parking brake cable is frozen. You will need to replace the parking brake cable. That is usually a dealer only item unfortunately, and a little bit of work.
