what is the rear end ratio of an 84 cv 302 with a code of K . I belive its a limited slip or Posi trac because if you try to spin the tires it dosnt fish tail, and if it werent a limited slip wouldnt you lose control quite easily . I believe its a 3.55 because the car accelerates fast and the engine rpm at crusing speed is quite high. If indeed it is a 3.5 means that these cars were designed for hauling and towing, because my 97 grand marq only had a 2.73

Most of these were 3.08 or 2.73, unless you have a police package, in which case some were 3.27 or 3.55. What RPM do you consider high?

The rear differential for this motor vehicle is a inventory 8.8 inch. you may get a locking differential from a Thunderbird, Lincoln Mark 7, Cougar, Mustang, Mercury Grand Marquis or Lincoln city motor vehicle which will artwork. All are a similar yet you should experience the right ratio on the tag on the differential on your motor vehicle. Turbocharging structures are VERY complicated by way of fact the exhaust must be rerouted to intersect with the intake equipment, plus intercooling isn't fairly carried out. Your suitable wager is a supercharger and a overall performance chip with a overall performance exhaust in case you truly ought to have the two a supercharger or swifter.

you are thinking backward on the posi. If you had posi and it spins the rear will kick out sideways. If it is an open diff then one wheel would spin and it would eventually go straight. Look on the rear axle and see the tag attached near the pumpkin area. That will tell you what it is.
