It was a 06 chevy imapala and the fluid was orange. After about a month i heard a bubbling sound coming from the reservoir and discovered the coolant was black and found the clamp completely restricting the lower radiator hose. Can that damage something to turn new coolant black?

That makes no sense. The black stuff might be Barr's Leaks sealant. If coolant flow was restricted at all, the engine would have overheated the very first time it was started and run for 5 minutes. So, did it go to normal after the clamp was removed? Please say it was removed. Ask the shop what they did, or read your work order that lists materials and labor you paid for.

I GUARANTEE the clamp hasn't been there for a month. You would have been LUCKY to get home with a clamp on the hose. Whatever happened WAS NOT done at the Car X location.

If it was completely restricting coolant flow, your engine would have overheated. But it seems it was partially restricted but not enough to cause overheating. But take it back and show them the coolant and the clamp. Tell them you want fresh coolant.
