Ignition and steering wheel locked up 95 bonneville HELP!!!?

About 2 weeks ago my girlfriend was driving the car and she brought it back and couldn't turn the car off cause the key was locking up inside. Well I got the key to go to the off position so the car turned off and I got the key out of the ignition but now when I put the key back in I cannot turn it at all in any direction and the steering wheel is locked up also. The steering wheel moves a little bit left and right but its locked up. I gotta to turn over once that night working at it but ever since the car has been sitting in the drive way. Any suggestions..solutions?

try rotating it in different directions a lot, it helps sometimes

try pressing/pumping the brakes, as you rotate the steering wheel in different directions, and while turning the key in the ignition...it should unlock

as quickly as I examine your question, first element i presumed, that's have been given to be a ford. examine the main and spot if one area is wore down extra then the different area. no count if it extremely is, take the vin sort to have been you got the automobile and have them minimize yet another key. If that seems ok, then i might take some Graphite, placed a sprint on the main and stick it into the ignition wiggle it a sprint and placed tension on the guidance wheel lower back and forth till the main became. If it does not turn authentic a manner save putting the Graphite on the main and dealing the guidance wheel till it does un-lock. i'm hoping this might help you? good success

If rocking the steering wheel and wiggling the key will not get it to turn your only alternative is to have the lock cylinder replaced.
