1997 Chevy Venture Ignition Switch would not turn to the off position or to accessories. I can start the van without the keys.

hi

you need to replace that switch.how?

remove or see if you have access to the back of the ignition mechanism.take off the plastic covers behind steering wheel.you going to see the ignition mechanism on the back off it is screws.if not is big job to do that.remove steering wheel .SWITCH indicator of and you loose the mechanism some time the mechanism ignition is not hold with screws they using riflers you need to cut or grind them off.

thank you
