Hello, I have a 94 GMC jimmy Autom. Vortec 4.3L, and it has a terrible but terrible acceleration from 0 mph to about 40mph it takes of time and to push all the way down the gas pedal to get it running, but as soon as it starts hitting the 40 mph from then on at the free way it gets up to 80 mph with ease without trembling nor anything, it does like a rattling noise.

Also when i am going uphill I have to put it on 2nd gear and when it reaches its maximum revolutions i change it to drive gear and it runs but at max of 40 mph no more.

At first i thought it was the trtransmissionut I seriously doubt it because it has great reverse power, adn it makes the shifts pretty smoothly my other options are the timing chain and the egr valve (note: the check engine throws me a egr code).

Can you guys help me out?

These engines have a problem with the fuel pressure regulator leaking. It is located inside the intake manifold plenum and it floods the engine when it leaks You are getting an egr code because it is full of carbon and not working correctly..

I unquestionably have the precise same subject purely I allready replaced the gas pump a twelve months in the past! i found this on the information superhighway ; possibilities are high it is one among 3 issues, a foul gas pump relay: regardless of if it is, it fees approximately $15 and is placed in the "decrease than the hood" fuse field. look decrease than the fuse field lid for region of the relay. #2 The oil pump rigidity change/sending unit: you may verify this with the help of unplugging the twine connector to the sending unit and leaping the two end terminals mutually this is a three twine connector. If the gas pump starts that's pointed out with the help of a hum from the tank then it is maximum possibly the oil press/sending unit.#3 The twine connector to the gas pump itself might additionally be undesirable, yet this is complicated too in view which you need to drop the gas tank to get to it additionally. i be attentive to the oil rigidity change/sending unit sounds unrelated however the wiring circuit to the gas pump has a branch this is routed in the path of the oil sending unit and it could reason the pump to not perform if it is going undesirable. The oil sending unit (OSU) is in a complicated region in the back of the engine decrease than the distributor and it takes a deep socket to get rid of. The gas pump, regardless of if it is unquestionably undesirable, is a huge job fairly in case you have an entire tank of gas. it is in lots of cases appropriate to get rid of the gas in the previous attempting to drop the gas tank. maximum tanks in recent times are complicated to get a siphon hose into. The gas pump i bought value $a hundred and eighty from an automobile factors shop and parent 2 or 3 hours of work basically relies upon on how solid/rapid they're. There are some tricks to dropping the tank and there are some gas line connector techniques required yet they don't look to be high priced. in case you do exchange the pump, you will additionally ought to alter the gas filter out. After each thing I suggested till now, this is nice to to study that the gas filter out isn't plugged up...this is a threat, yet I unquestionably have by no ability considered a plugged up gas filter out. I, of path, purchase my gas at respected places, yet once you do not i think this is sensible to look at as properly to what I instructed you. solid success wish this helps!
