my '97 intrepid is misfiring. very rough idling during stop on traffic light, so i always shift it to neutra?

sometimes i feel good acceleration, but most of the time it is very sluggish. the hesitation (misfiring) is very obvious at 80 kl up as i press the accelerator.
PLS HELP!!!

Install new spark plug wires if you've never replaced them. Make sure to get the exact wires for your car and replace them one at a time so you don't mix up the wire connections. The misfire should get worse when you load the engine down by going up a steep hill for example.

It sounds to me that there is something wrong with the fuel injection.
