Yes you can use Synthetic oil in you 2002 Honda. There is no known problem with killing parts or leakage.

Improve Fuel Economy

AMSOIL XL Synthetic Motor Oils are fuel efficient oils formulated with friction modifiers to reduce energy loss from friction. They provide better fuel economy compared to conventional, non fuel-efficient motor oils.

Maintain Low Emissions

AMSOIL XL Synthetic Motor Oils are friendly toward modern emission control systems, helping improve catalytic converter service life for low exhaust emissions.

Protect Engines In All Temperatures

AMSOIL XL Synthetic Motor Oils are multi-viscosity formulations. They provide optimum engine protection in both hot and cold temperature conditions.

Keep Engines Clean

AMSOIL XL Synthetic Motor Oils are heavily fortified with detergent/dispersant additives and are significantly more resistant to sludge and carbon deposits than conventional oils. AMSOIL XL Synthetic Motor Oils promote clean operation for longer lasting, better running engines.

Lower Fleet Maintenance Costs

Cost conscious business owners and fleet managers benefit from the extended drain intervals and wear protection of high quality AMSOIL XL Synthetic Motor Oils. While frequent oil changes are costly, time consuming and inconvenient, longer drain intervals reduce costs (labor, used oil disposal, facility demands) and improve environmental image.

Bid Appropriate

AMSOIL Extended Life XL Synthetic Motor Oils fulfill the requirements of most public and private purchasing bids. These oils are cost effective, making them ideal where synthetic motor oil is specified.

APPLICATIONS

AMSOIL Extended Life Synthetic Motor Oils are excellent for use in all types of gasoline-fueled vehicles. They are recommended for all domestic and foreign vehicles requiring any of the listed performance specifications:

I changed to synthetic 5W-20 Mobil 1 over 50,000 miles ago on my 2001 Accord. The only difference I noticed was it cost more to change oil.

Change oil as specified in your owners manual (5W-20) and if you like use synthetic, sleep well but don't expect to notice a difference at the pump.

In short "NO"

it wont kill anything in it to use synthetic oil in it,all it will do is help add life to the engine, and in some cases it has helped a lot of people get better gas mileage, but right now its the best oil on the market for any car made,or any engine out there new or old,i use Mobil one all the time i have found it to be the best yet, there's a lot of different brands on the market though, but for best performance and reliability id try Mobil one,its rated no-1 right now, good luck with it.

If you are using two quarts of oil between oil changes, switch to non synthetic oil. Yes you will have to change oil more often, but it will be cheaper. If the crank case did not need two quarts of oil, you might be damaging the engine every time you drive it. Rings are designed to seat one way and the excess oil can damage them. Also while the oil may be newer, the filter is not. When it gets plugged all sorts of nasty things can happen. Just get the oil changed now, and maybe it will last a few more years. Don't ask me to buy it now by the way. A driver that goes that long between oil changes has ruined a lot of other wise good cars.

RE:

Can I Use Synthetic Oil to My 2002 Honda Accord?

My 2002 Honda Accord recommends that I use 5W-20 regular oil. If I use synthetic oil, is it gonna improve performances? If yes, what performances? Is it gonna kill some other parts in the engine or cause oil leaking after switching from regular?
