what do u mean by 4 cycle oil? you talking about motor cycle oil? i hope your not talking about 2 cycle oil that you mix with gas! your engine is a 4 cycle engine. what weight is it?how much does your car need? you can prob. use it to top it off but i wouldn't change the oil and feel the crank case with motorcycle oil.

no... that oil does not change in viscosity when the temperature of engine changes...

the reason it is called "10w30" is when the engine is cold, the oil acts like a 10 weight ( thinner)

but when the engine is hot, the oil acts like a 30 weight ( heavier)

You sure don't want single weight oil being too thin when the engine is hot. The damage to the engine by using the wrong oil is not worth it. if you car needs 10w30... don't even think about trying 5w40...

or 10w40

It's important to stick with factory specs....

If you need to save money use 10w30 labeled for Autozone or O'Reilys... any generic brand will do as long as the label says 10w30.

4 stroke is what you should be using any way. the weight is what you need to match though. af you are talking about 2 cycle by chance, walk away from it. that would only damage your car.

It would be better than no oil, but you really should get proper motor oil for it.

No, buy some oil or trade someone that needs what you have.
