Anything you can do to deter theft is a good thing.
An alarm and a kill switch are great.
The Club will also deter theft and did you know they make a devise like the club that fits under your brake pedal?
If it's a manual tranny get one for the clutch pedal too!
Park in well lit areas.

The club is worthless, all they have to do is saw the steering wheel in two with a hacksaw its takes about 3 seconds....
Get a mechanic to install a starter cut off switch, and hide it in a odd place. What it will do is cut the power to the starter so the car can't be started, most thieves won't dick with a car if they can't get it started quickly....and the switch, relay and wiring should only cost about $20....and maybe 1/2 labor if you have a mechanic do it.

they are ultimate. Your loss is what replaced into stolen. while it is composed of the motor vehicle, it relatively is the keys (you left _all_ the keys to a sparkling vehicle... interior the vehicle?). i'm additionally making a risk you do no longer could have your motor vehicle re-keyed and whether you needed to have a replace key made, it does not value $800. I in basic terms paid a declare the place the guy's truck replaced into stolen and the keys have been lacking. To have a locksmith make a key from the lock it value approximately $a hundred seventy five (key fob). own products are no longer coated under the vehicle coverage, they are coated under a sources coverage including a sources proprietors or renters coverage. Your insurance could conceal what it value to replace _all_ the keys that have been stolen. this could incorporate programming the keys if its needed. mutually as I doubt it would value $800, i'm making a risk it would value approximately $3 hundred (which incorporate any door lock distant as nicely). in spite of everything this is complete, evaluate your self fortunate that they did no longer thieve your style new motor vehicle with the keys you left in it. mutually as the loss may be coated under insurance it relatively is totally obtainable you would be paid much less then what you paid for the motor vehicle.

Re key just the doors, the ignition is to cumbersome and time consuming to do (read- Expensive). You can also pull the starter relay from the fuse panel- usually under the hood, back by the fire wall, drivers side, untill you get it rekeyed, if it's a modern car. find the fuse box and look on tthe cover for the explanations and find the starter relay,, pull it when you park.

Are you near a Military Base? Find out who works in their lock shop and see if you can hire one of the guys or gals to replace your locks, using their own tools of course, as it may be an inexpensive alternative. These guys could use some money on the side.

If you cut the hot wire going to your distributor and run it to a hidden switch inside the cab they will not be able to take it even if the have the key.just remember to turn switch on before you crank or you will build gas up in cylinders and cause it to flood
