I have a used VW MK5 Golf1.4 FSI with near enough 60,000 miles and after a few months of driving I have come across the issue of hesitant acceleration and a shaky idle most likely as a result of loss of power. I looked in the service history and couldn't find anything suggesting the fuel filter has been changed so I was going to purchase a part and try and fit it as well as trying a number of other things to try sort the problem. I have looked on euro car parts for the filter however I am unsure of which filter is needed as I don't know the dimensions that will fit and I would also like a link to a set of instructions on how to fit it and any recommendations from people/past experince from someone
Thanks in advanced

I see a shop manual purchase in your future along with a visit to a VW dealer for the part.

You can go to any VW dealership parts department, auto parts store, or online outlets and give them the make ,model, year, type of your car and they can locate the type of filter that fits your car. You didn't say what model year it was so i cant look up exactly where the filter is located on the car.

I'll bet your local VW dealer's parts department can fix you right up. Stop by today.
