A good coat of wax protects the paint of the vehicle, Depending on the use of your vehicle, you man need to rewax every 6 months to a year. The wax protects you paint from sunlight, water, dirt and dust. The benefits are that you will have glossy and richer color the consequences are possible build up on certain locations, sometimes people get wax on the wrong places, like door handles. The other consequences are that the skin of your car will be exposed to the elements. Handwaxing is the best. Use a rubbing compound sparingly for scratches and scuffs. Use a wax then a polish for a wet look.

yes the protection it provides is immense. If you don't the dirt actually becomes part of the paint job and will deteriorate the paint and then shortly the metal it covers. Your car will rust away quicker and soon the car will be worthless. The wax will prolong the ability of your cars metal to fight off corrosion. You should wax it at least every 6 months but some prefer more frequent waxing. You usually can tell by the rain, when the droplets stop beading up into tiny little balls then you should wax.

Hello, without waxing your car your paint will have a greater oxidation meaning your paint job will not last plus if you have birds that mess on your vehicle without a good waxing the bird poop will eat your paint down to a rusted hole. So if you don't want to wax it take it to a place that will hand wax it for you.

Keeps you're paint job looking new for longer. How long? The more you do it the longer you're pain job will last. Also depends on where you live and how you keep you're car. If you live somewhere cold and you get rocksalt on you're car you should do it more.
