I hope you mean you need to add water, if your not in a climate that has sever weather(hot or cold) adding water to a low radiator is OK. Most new cars take a low- tox( toxic) type of coolant so make sure you have the right anti-freeze when winter comes. If it is a never car, it can only be added in the coolant reservoir. Most have lines etched in the casing for "H" hot level "C" for cold level. The cap will have a universal symbol for a thermometer on it. Its almost always near the passenger side under the hood. If you still have trouble finding it, any auto parts store (Murray's , Pep. Boys Auto Zone) will be glad to help. If it is a really newer car it might be a sealed system, most foreign car makers do that because there isn't a great need for it to be changed anymore. Most anti-freeze is guaranteed to 100 thousand miles and by that time people have long traded them in. The low-tox type is for the benefit to the envirpoment and pets, it doens't harm them as mush as the old type of atni-freeze did. Good Luck

Water or anti-freeze coolant goes in the radiator. It is located just in back of the grille. There is a cap on the radiator. Newer cars have an overflow thank that can be used to fill the radiator. Do not try to remove the radiator cap if the engine is hot. Wait until it has cooled down. And just remember there is no such thing as a stupid question. If you don't ask how ya gone to know.

true water goes in the radiator, but on newer model cars the cooling system is "sealed" meaning that the overflow/expansion tank is the place you put coolant in

look for a plastic tank on either side of the car. there should be a black cap that twists off (don't do this while engine is hot!) if the tank isn't too dirty, you should be able to tell whether or not you see a green liquid or an orangish/red liquid. most gm's use a coolant called DexCool which is Orange in color. the green is just regular antifreeze.

Coolant goes in the radiator or overflow jug. Without knowing what kind of car you have, the oil, as a rule, goes through a capped opening in the valve cover. Remove the cap and pour the oil in the valve cover.

you should learn a bit about basic car maitenance before buying a car. The water goes in the radiator coolant which usually is filled through the radiator expansion tank. the water coolant is a mixture of water and antifreeze. See your vehicle handbook for the water/antifreeze mixture.

water goes in the radiator open the bonnet and you will see a more or less plastic type water holder thingy !! that runs down to a thick tube (sqidgy) you need to release the pressure from the lid (wait til your cars cooled down) then remove the lid and pour in the water hope that helped from a fellow non car person!! lol were really bad at this

inside the engine bay on the very front of the car, once you have lifted the bonnet is the radiator, either there will be a filler cap on there or just simply follow the pipes coming off to the over flow bottle, this will be in clear view, it's usually located on the front right hand side of the engine bay...

the radiator, its the big metal thing at the front of the engine. it has a lid but never touch it while the car is warm from running (or while the car is running)

That special coolant is water. Doh!
2006-10-10 18:13:22 UTC
It enters the radiator present in the bonnet of the car

NO need to be sorry

You only add coolant to the newer cars,,,not water..
