Question:
Vibrating Brake Pedal (Vauxhall Corsa)?

I hit a massive pot whole in my Vauxhall Corsa 02 and blew up my rear side tyre. So I have replaced all 4 tyres as they all needed doing and have also paid for tracking to be done. I thought problem solved... not so fast. Under breaking now my pedal is sort of vibrating/pulsing on my foot. Does anyone have any ideas of what this could be? My new tyres have also been balanced apparently. Only positive comments please. Cheers.

try resurfacing your rotors

Like the other poster said it's most likely your ABS malfunctioning. What happens is your ABS automatically senses if your braking hard which is when they periodically pump the brakes. Now if it's not function properly it could be it all the time you depress your brake pad. It's a sensor that can easily be fixed

If you've change your brake pads, resurfaced your rotors, checked your brake fluid and had everything aligned the ABS would be the best the most logical guess. If you don't have ABS I would take it back to the place that balanced your tires and have them look at it again.

Hi

It sounds like warped rotors to me The rotors being warped

will give you a vibrating feeling at the brake peddle You can check with a dial indicator with a magnetic mount any more than about .003

out of round is not good They can be fixed by having them turned

Out of true rotor. Many cars, particularly high performance cars with low sprung weight to aid in having good suspension performance, are subject to the brake rotors being pulled out of true by uneven torquing of the lug-nuts. Try loosening the lugnuts on each wheel in turn and torquing to manufacturer's recommended value using a reliably accurate torque wrench.

if you get a sort of pulse when braking and it gets worse when braking hard then you have a warped brake disk and if the steering shakes also then it will be a front disk

It could be your ABS malfunctioning (anti-lock brakes)
