It shows a code of misfire on 6. I replaced all spark plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. It runs fine for a couple days then back to the misfire. I can replace the plug on 6 and it work for a few days. It does have compression so I don't think its the valve. Sometimes when I go to take off, it will backfire softly. Like 3 or 4 soft pops. Also when I first start it up and take off, sometimes it doesn't wanna go.. like its bogging down but if you hold the pedal down enough, it will finally kick in and go. I've replaced fuel pump, filter, and injectors, I run the same gas I've always ran in it so I don't think its bad gas... Anyone know?

these year model engine both v6 and v8 have a single fuel injector set up referred to as a "Spider Asm" and the plastic tubes that connect to the heads have popett valve at the end and they go bad and when they do they stick open and dump fuel into cylinder instead of spraying a mist. therefor you have misfire and bad mpg and performance.

they also have issues with the fuel pressure regulator that is mounted on the spider asm and this asm is located under the intake on the engine , not easy to get to or do yourself in driveway.

They have also recently upgraded the spider asm to a multiport injector set up were you have 8 actual injectors that gives better mpg and performance and solves the misfire issues

look online or call autozone and buy the spider asm by BWD, it will run approx 250-320 but it will solve your problem.

the only other thing that maybe acting up is the crank sensor, but usually you will have a check engine light for the sensor...check your sensor and make sure the connector did not get damaged or unpluged for some reason, exspecially if you go off road...

good luck

PS i see that you wrote that you replaced the injectors??? did you buy a Spider asm??? or someone told you they replaced them??? you would have to remove intake plenum to replace the spider approx a 6 hours labor job...not easy or a normal do it yourself repair???

On your 4.3L engine it only stops in 3 positions when u shut it off. To verify you need a flywheel "called a flex plate with a auto trans". Manually rotate the engine a quarter turn before cranking. If it starts normally starter is good and u need a new flywheel.

You need to have your starter checked for a bad Bendix gear or bad bushings.
