My 2003 Impala keeps shifting to the right and shakes. It feels like it maybe a tire or something but the air in the tires are full. I have been reading and I have seen people say that I need an alignment but would that cause my car to wobble? PLEASE I need help I don't want to spend to much money if I don't need to.. Please include price range...

Pulling to the right means the front right tire has LESS air the the other side. Or bad tire, u see sometimes the bad tie rod make have of the tire bad low on tread, so the tire will not go straight. The last thing is alignment but this is easy to figure out, look at your steering when you driving on straight road is your steering leveled or it turned more to the right? If its not straight meams alignment needed, as far as the shake few things woud do that,

Bad Rotors, does the car shakes when u come to stop from speed? Rotor. U can also feel a little shake in the brake paddle.

Bad balance, the car would only shake at cretin speeds mostly 50 to 55mph. 70 to 75mph.

CV Axel would make the car shake badly at 35mph and up. The more u speed the worst it gets.

eitherway it should be easy fix under $100

Nobody wants to spend money. The world should be free.

Did you run over or strike the curb or an object, or did you bottom out in a pot hole recently? You may have damaged suspension parts on the right [passenger] side. Or you may have bent the rim. Or if your tire was removed for any reason perhaps it was not mounted properly on the rim or the rim was not mounted properly on the car.

My guess is you or someone who drives the car struck the curb or an object very hard, bent a steering component, perhaps a tie rod, and maybe the balance weights fell off the wheel? If you broke or bent a tie rod it could be in the range of $200-250 + alignment. If it is just an alignment then perhaps $75. Replace bent rim $200 with a used part and labor to mount tire etc. . Re-balance one tire about $20.

This ( MIGHT ) be due to a wheel imbalance, that is to say the wheel needs dynamic balancing, as it pulls to the right, it is probably the right hand front wheel that needs doing, other causes could be a sticking or binding brake caliper, again on the front right or worn cv joint or stub axle or worn wheel bearing.

Can't give you a price because of the many factors.

Just have a shop look at it and get free estimates, this is the logical way to do it.

My pal simply had identical type of situation. Mechanic instructed him he wants automatic transmission fixed/changed. If you want to make sure you in finding right answer, have it serviced and ask mechanic to provide you with a quote on concern (they are on the whole glad to try this if you are purchasing a carrier and normally become telling you the whole thing that is incorrect with vehicle and give you quotes if you need quotes). At the moment this works out higher value that getting an auto membership to assess it out and also you get yur auto serviced into the cut price! Better to spend some cash now than let difficulty proceed and generally having to end up spending a lot more.

Get your tires ballenced. A weight probably fell off. Relatively cheap.

You're not going to fix it yourself, so why waste everyone's time. Take it to someone who can fix it.
