Automotive transmission and new engine installation problems?

I had a new engine installed in a 2003 Nissan Altima. Now the transmission is not working correctly. When I pull away from a stop sign or light, it sometimes is not in gear and the engine revs and then it clunks into gear and the wheels squeal and off I go. And I think when I am coasting at higher speeds it's not dropping into the lowest gear and is staying above 2500 RPM even when coasting at around 60. I had no transmission issues before the engine replacment. My friend tells me they might have not put enough transmission fluid back in or there was an installation problem. I would appreciate any advise. This was done at a Nissan Dealership and I already had to take it back 3 times because there was a drain on the battery and they were not addressing the issue and doing a proper drainage test.

Since your vehicle is no longer under warranty, why do you continue to take it back to the dealer who obviously doesn't have very well trained mechanics?

Get a personal referral to a reputable independent mechanic shop and take your car there for service.

Take it back to the dealer that did the work. You should have a guarantee on the work they did. If you can't get it resolved call the local factory rep. and explain the problems to him. Don't give up!

The tps (throttle role sensor) is placed at the throttle frame and is convenient to difference. Auto Zone can promote you the side and exhibit you the right way to do it on their laptop. I do not believe that is your crisis however can not say from no longer seeing it in individual. Have Auto Zone test it and spot in the event that they get equal outcome.

your friend might be right about the transmission fluid. it does take a lot of fluid once it,s drained dry. that would be a good reason for it catching then going.
