Teh BAX is right AND wrong at the same time. ALl engines work their absolute BEST when they are SHOWROM CLEAN. HEAT dissipates EVENLY< and ROAD SALT and other contaminants from the street do NOT have time to collect on WIRING HARNESS and make MOUNTS and BELTS and PULLEYS wear out as fast. A SUPER POWER WASHER is not the right thing to use, but the power made at most DIY car washes will NOT harm anything for most engines. it is a GOOD practice to clean with the engine RUNNING AT A HIGHER IDLE SPEED! This prevents the cap and rotor from getting flushed up with WATER. IF this car HAS a distributor, consider removing the cap and NOT using WD-40, but a nice CLEAN PAPER TOWEL or AIR BLOWER to remove the water. WD-40 will CONDUCT electricit and is a FLAME MAKER and can actually start a small fire insdde teh distrbutor and BURN the electronics up!!! This is a BAD idea!!! YES???? ALLOW ENGINE TO DRY OVERNIGHT and use GOOD lighting to exmine the engine, cap and rotor and WRIING HARNESSES. Use BRAKE CLEANER On EVERYTHING< since it evaporataes very EASILY and dries mostly on contact. GOOD LUCK!!

Not only are you making bad decisions using a pressure washer on your motor but you don't even tell us WTF you drive so we can't tell you what got water soaked to kill the motor! If it has a distributor start with taking the cap off and blowing the air out of it and the distributor body. Don't use full force of a compressor air blower nozzle or you may wreck wiring inside it. Blow dry any coils and blow off any plug wires. You may want to consider a tune up with plugs and wires after getting it running again. The pressure washer may have torn the wires out a the crankshaft sensor or water logged any harness connectors so just go over everything that got wet. Dirty motors run!

it befell to me after washing. i could no longer start up the motor vehicle. basically after an afternoon in a dry place whilst all motor vehicle dried it began unquestionably. Nissan autos have acomputerizedd administration that under pressure out below the carpet and it substitute into in water then it may give up the motor vehicle restart.

you got the ignition wet ! if you have a distributor take the cap off, spray wd-40 inside the cap and wipe it out with a clean rag !

People have always told me that I needed to wash my motor at the car wash because it was soo dirty. I never have and never will. It runs just fine dirty! Let it air out I guess. Good luck!
