I can give you instructions, but It is better to give you advice. First go get a repair manual for the vehicle. The manual will tell you all of the basics. The things it will not tell you come from doing hundreds of timing belts. Read the book twice. I know this sounds stupid, bet it really helps. Before you work on the car make sure that you have any special tool that you may need to get the job done so you are not making too many runs to the parts store. When you start taking the car apart take pictures if you need to remember how stuff goes together. As you get to the timing belt make sure the timing marks are aligned before removing the old belt. I Would do the water pump and any other item like the tensioner while you are there. Again align the timing marks. Have the spark plugs out (no compression) and turn the engine through two complete cycles by hand and recheck timing marks. As you begin putting the items back on and you get to a point that you can start the engine, as least as possible to start the engine. You don't need drive belts, coolant, or things like that to run the engine for around 30 seconds to make sure the timing belt is on properly. This way you don't need to take everything apart if you are off by one tooth. If all is ok finish putting it back together. Get the book first, it is cheaper than bending a valve.

Subaru's are EZ!!!! find a HAYNES manual or go to library for ALLDATA data base. It has EVERYTHING you need for instructions in detail. CALL many libraries to find ones that carry this thing! You will need to jack up the engine and remove the engine mOUNT bracket first, then remove the CAM covers, The rest is pretty obvious. many TIMING bELT kITS have great instruction in them Buy your NEW belt and pulleys from SUBARU, and they will run off the indtructions for you. GOOD LUcK!!

2 belts .. a left & right hand ..
so you have to take them both off... then replace the right hand side before the left..
you have to line the engine up on TDC.. then remove all the covers & stuff to get to the belts
then you check the timing marks on the cam shafts.. then undo the tensioners remove old belts.. put right hand belt on and check timing marks.. then put left hand on & check timing marks.. then tension both sides & recheck timing marks.. then bolt everything back & should be good to go...
BUT if your not sure how to time it... get a manual first.. or take it to a shop to do it..
pics here showing timing marks..& how the belts run..
