Whats the difference in them? I know how they function and stuff, one by a computer and the other is all mechanical. Whats t he power difference in them. Im asking cause Im getting a 400 hp 350 engine, in my 90 camaro. And I don't feel like the stock tbi can keep up. What should I do? Carb or TBI? and why?

THE TBI IS BASICALLY A 2 BARREL SYSTEM --THE GOOD INJECTION IS MULTI PORT INJECTION ------EITHER THE MPI OR A 4 BBL PERFORMANCE CARB ------BOTH WILL PULL POWER BUT THE MPI AND IT'S COMPUTER WILL PULL BETTER GAS MILEAGE .

I like to use TBI because it is the most reliable of Chevy's injection systems, however I never get that far beyond stock performance. If you want easy start-up, and reliability, I would stick with the TBI.

However, with 400 hp, you may need more CFM, and need to upgrade to a Big Block TB. but that requires a new computer, and it may be easier to go with a carb.

If you like the reliability of your TBI, may I recommend the Holly TBI?
